Schwalbe has incorporated their RaceStar Triple compound which employs a condensed section of rubber at the center of the tire to create a super low rolling resistance. The harder rubber compound allows the tire to roll with minimal effort because it averts the main reason for loss of energy -- the constant deformation of the tire. The rubber compound gets progressively softer as it moves from the center of the tire to the outside, adding a forgiving amount of grip even for the most aggressive cornering.
